Apple's PowerBook G3 is here! They are incredible-Check them out at The Apple Store. Interestingly enough, my ME professor designed the door on the back of the machine. In the desktop department, the PowerMac G3 All-In-One is out with a really nice 15" monitor built-in. Also, see the revolutionary iMac, due in August from Apple. Umax's S900 G3 bundles are also a great deal for those looking for a 6 slot G3 alternative. Check them out at MacConnection. Join the resistance! Visit Fight Back For Mac At Stanford G3 cards for $500 are here from PowerLogix! Check out Mike Breeden's Accelerate Your Macintosh page for a review of the PowerLogix G3 220/110 card. Newer Technology has released G3 upgrades for PowerBase and SuperMac C series systems, making this a great time to pick up a low end Mac clone that can be upgraded later to incredible speeds. Or if you've got a first generation Power Mac(x100), pick up one of Newer's incredible G3 upgrades for that system from MacCPU or other Mac vendors. UMAX, the manufacturer of the SuperMac clone line, will continue to sell Mac-compatible systems (although there are rumors that their licensing agreement will not be renewed) and has reached an agreement with Apple to include MacOS 8 with its systems. As a very satisfied SuperMac owner, I can say that they are a great value for students looking for a low cost Mac. |
